I think I might have finally found out what’s the most mesmerising thing about Benedict Cumberbatch - for me.

Not his looks or his voice or his intelligence - although I love all that to death.

It’s his body control.

It’s not only sexy to have such control over your body, it also sets apart the good actor from the genius actor.

See, most actors just act with their face and their voice. Besides that, they are just standing around, walking around, sitting around.

Benedict acts with his face, his voice - but also with his body, in nearly every scene. In fact - it’s almost character dance. Or pantomime. It’s rare and it’s fascinating.

It’s his drama training and his theatrical work, but you have to be a natural to get THAT good. He can do slapstick, drama, tragedy, love scenes - everything, just with his movements and body tension. He should have been in “The Artist” actually. He would have been a bloody brilliant silent movie star. 

I’ve tried acting myself, and I think it’s save to say that he’s a talent of the century and that film makers will beat the crap out of one another to work with him in the future…
